Hi People, For those who were asking a couple of questions re supplements after training last night. Have a look at www.boditronics.co.uk – sells decent products but not at the high prices of companies like Maximuscle. For ruggerby Express Whey is probably a good place to start - which is just protein – or Profusion – mix of creatine and protein. Both are about £30 a tub. Unfortunately not working on commission….yet Cheers, Steve

Thanks for your post Stevie, i will have a look into this and if you don't mind - maybe ask you a few more questions tomorrow evening. I am just not keen to put on a shed load of weight but if the shakes can help me in any way i will have to assess the situation. Obviously, the benefits are there for all to see because you are a great player but if my penis is going to shrink any smaller or my belly is to expand and bigger i am not too keen!
Warmest regards.....Reido

Aha, I believe you are experiencing ‘newbie squits’, never pleasant. Normally it’s just your body getting used to the new intake however if they continue your body might just react badly to them.
Would recommend giving it a couple of weeks and if its still going straight through you might be worth trying a different brand.
Must admit I have no qualifications in this whatsoever and advice is purely from my experience.
You could always try drinking the steroids and injecting the protein – must…..be….huge… ;D

There are too many guys at the club drinkign this stuff now for me to ignore it any longer. The way i understand it is, the shakes are a substitute for snacking on shit like chocolate and general junk food. Is this correct? If so, sign me up!

It's good to hear people taking a keen interest in developing their physiques outside of general training. Steve is a great role model in this having gone from skinny rake to bulging adonis in a year... No substitute for hard work in the gym though!
Should anyone like some advice on going from speedy back/loosie to a bruising front rower, please feel free to ask. I find that 4 pints a night, BK at lunch, throw in a couple of kebabs and increase weekend intake of beer pref heavy to 10 pints at a weekend rounding off with a hearty fry up and sunday lunch helps me keep in trim.
Remember rugby is played by men with odd shaped balls.

Skinny rake, bulging adonis………role model? O dear, I think you might have me confused with a smaller, fitter, faster and generally more skilful individual.
