As some of you will know and some of you won't - I resigned from coaching at Whitecraigs last night. This has been a hard decision to make as in some ways my time coaching the 2s will be some of my best memories of Whitecraigs due to this cotton pickin' shoulder of mine! The decision has been taken due to changes in personal circumstances and a reality check with the new arrival in May coming rapidly closer. I'd just like to say that I have enjoyed my time at Whitecraigs and good luck to everyone and all teams in the future. If you pull together you will achieve the title of Mighty and become a force to reckoned with. Unfortunately or fortunately however you look at it the 2s had possibly THE best training session I have ever been involved with in 24 years of rugby last night. The committment, communication, sharpness and work ethic was without exception superb. I have never seen guys make a faultless display when running grids and being communicated with by whistle!!!! I am, however, not completely out of the loop and with Cokes taking over the mantle of 2nds Head Coach I want you to give him the support that you have given me over the past 2 months. I will keep watching the sites and if Cokes needs some inspirational coaching plans to beast you with I will always be able to give him some ideas. Play for each other and you will achieve everything you deserve. The amount of people training makes it essential for even more people to train. It is not any one persons god given right to be in a specific team you have to earn it and that means 100% committment. As I said good luck everyone and if I'm in the area I'll pop into the club or pop to a game to see how you're all getting on. Keep in touch! douglas.campbell135@btinternet.com 07831 253300.
